About fifteen years ago, my world was rocked when mental illness began to rock our home. Until that day, my life had been relatively simple. After years of watching my husband as he sought to control his bipolar disorder, the battle ended with his suicide. My quiet, unassuming life had been thrust into a world of darkness and pain. There were times when I didn’t know if I’d ever know joy again. I longed for someone to talk to…someone who had been there.

As I began to experience healing in my grief, I felt compelled to speak out to help others. I wanted to be that listening ear for others who were hurting as I had hurt. I’ve been blogging for seven years now and have been able to connect with others who are struggling with similar pain. I am thankful that God is using my hurts to help others to find hope in their own.

I am excited to announce that I have been nominated for the “Advocating for Another”  in the 6th Annual WEGO Health Awards. I am honored for the nomination and ask you to consider endorsing me by clicking  here.
